Bay Window Seat
From Unused Bay to Intentional Design
Custom Built-In • Window Seat with Storage • Timeless Interior Detailing

A refined built-in that adds comfort, functionality, and architectural presence to your home.
What was once an overlooked bay window nook in the dining room has been transformed. Our custom-built bench now provides seating, hidden storage and seamless integration with the home’s architecture — making the space both useful and beautiful.

The Vision
The dining room’s bay window offered potential, but it wasn’t functional — just an empty nook with loose carpet and wasted space. The homeowners wanted to turn it into a practical and comfortable feature that felt intentional, timeless, and integrated with the home’s existing architecture.
The Solution
Working with designer Emily Gaughan, we designed a fully custom bench composed of four modular boxes — two angled, two rectangular — built precisely to fit the unique dimensions of the bay. Each lid features lift-stay hardware with soft-close hinges for easy access and safety.
The oak edging was matched to the existing flooring, and coordinating wall paneling was added to create architectural continuity with the adjacent built-ins. Every interior surface was painted before installation for a clean, furniture-grade finish. A custom cushion completes the bench, transforming the space into a favorite everyday seat.
